Risotto For Breakfast at 22 weeks

Does having leftover Risotto for breakfast count as a pregnancy craving? I'll go a head and say "yes"... because this justification makes me feel better...since I've slacked as a housewife and haven't been to the grocery in 2 weeks! At least we have coffee, and as long as we have some pretentious coffee available my husband doesn't complain :)

I have hit the 22 week mark and I HAVE A BELLY! It's small, but when I pooch it out and flex my ab muscles you can really tell it's there. haha. Strangers still don't notice and I think it will be a few more weeks until they do. My husband said the other night, "okay maybe you aren't lying about this pregnancy thing...I believe you now!" Hehe. That little stinker! I can still wear my jeans and regular clothes (thankfully the style of pants these days is so low cut!) But I'm starting to gravitate toward NOT wearing tight fitting dresses and shirts. When I wore a tighter fitting dress to church this Sunday I felt like a sausage casing and have decided to
relinquish them until after the baby :)
Here is the Belly Shot! You can really see a bump now! But I think strangers probably think I just need to lay off the Cheetos!

The baby's name will be Caroline Wylie N***! I'm excited to call her by name... it seems more and more "real" everyday! She kicks up a storm and is making me less sick than ever!

I have gained about 3 pounds and I'm okay with that. I think mentally I'm getting to a place where I realize that any weight I gain is for Caroline and can easily be worked off postpartum! This has been a difficult mental block for me since day one, but I'm praying for God to help me be content with the BEAUTIFUL changes my body will make!

My husband is about to have some time off for Christmas, so I am eager to start working on Caroline's room! I don't have the BEST eye for decorating...but I have a lot of friends who do, so hopefully she will have a sweet baby girl nursery soon :) Any fun ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Oh We're Half Way There OOOOOH Livin' on a Prayer!

"Oh look hunny, she's got your black squiggly lines!"

20 weeks marks half way through this pregnancy! Sick days are getting fewer and farther apart (PRAISE GOD!)

I am proud to say I've now gained 2lbs since my 1st appointment! The doctor said while that's on the low end, everything seems to be healthy. The gender reveal ultrasound was exciting. My husband was able to go for the 1st time, and he was fun to watch as he saw his little girl punching around in my belly!

The ultrasound tech was awesome, she was very detailed in letting us know what everything was and she gave us lots of pictures! The baby is around 11oz and right on track size wise. Over the next few weeks Baby N will be growing A LOT! So maybe my belly will start to stick out finally! I'm feeling a little jipped that I don't get any special pregnancy treatment from strangers since no one can tell! Haha kidding (sorta!)

I honestly could not believe it was a little girl. The hubby and I went through a (very) brief moment of disappointment since we were hoping for, and totally thought the baby was a boy! But now we are on the girl train... I even asked the tech to check again on the ultrasound...but it was pretty clear to all that it is indeed a girl!

I went to a little children's boutique here in town yesterday to look at baby girl clothes. Everything is really cute, but I'm not having that feeling where I want to go out buy everything pink and frilly that I see. I was surprised I was not phased by all the cuteness... though I must admit that girls clothes are way cuter than boy clothes, ha!

19 Weeks 5 Days

Just two more days until I find out if we are having a little Miss or a Mister!

Feeling so much better! I have not thrown up in 2 whole days.

I can't believe I'm just two days away from being half way through this pregnancy!

I feel the baby kick all the time, it's pretty cool! I didn't realize how often it would move!

I gained a pound, my first pound! (This is after gaining back the three pounds I lost initially)...But then I weighed after Thanksgiving, and the scale was back to 120. Ha, hilarious! I know my weight gain and bump are just around the corner.

17 Weeks...last week of my 4th month

Still no weight gain...
I'm actually still down two pounds
I am eating! What's going on!?
Belly is growing...When I look down at it it seems huge! But then I realize I've got a LOT of expanding to do.
Stretch mark cream is in full use after each shower.
I had to reschedule my gender reveal ultra sound to a later date because of a work conflict....(boo!!!) but all in good time :)
I just realized that this is my LAST week of my FOURTH month!!! That seems weird.
I thought I felt the baby kick, but it would be a little early for that...probably just wishful thinking over a stomach gurgle!

Baby Bed :)

We have a baby crib for the little one to sleep in.

Once we know if Baby is a little miss or a little mister we can get started on putting together the nursery!
I felt this cherry wood crib would go for either gender :)

16 Weeks

16 weeks and FINALLY starting to feel a little better (although I still have a sick day here and there)

We went for our monthly checkup a few days ago...they didn't do anything too cool this time but I did get to hear the heartbeat again...143!

The doctor was mildly concerned that I had lost 3 ponds since my last checkup but she said it was no cause for serious alarm and said I should start gaining a healthy amount of weight once I get to feeling better! And I have been able to eat a little more this week, which is nice.

I am still fitting in all my normal clothes but I certainly notice a change in my waistline! It went from tiny to "boxy" and I'm not a fan...but I know it's all for an amazing blessing that is coming my way :)

I still have not told my work about the baby. My bossman is coming down in a few weeks to do some ride-a-longs with me and I think I will break the news then. For some reason I'm REALLY nervous to do so! I don't want them to think I won't be able to do my job as well once the baby is here!

At the next appointment we will learn the sex of the baby. I am hoping for a little boy and so is my husband...but we will be excited either way!

14 weeks and an ACTUAL bump

I HAVE A BABY BUMP!

( I work in the O.R. so please excuse my scrubs!)

I feel like 14 weeks is a little early to show (I've heard week 18/19 is when you really start) but I have a smaller frame so I reckon I'm showing early!

I gained back a pound...but my net gain is still negative one....

My sister-in-law just found out the gender of her baby and I'm super excited to find out what Little Baby N will be! (I go back and fourth on what I want!!) Only 5 more weeks till THAT appointment!

It's starting to feel real and scary but oh such a blessing ! Can you believe I'm actually GROWING A HUMAN in there?????

What up 2nd Trimester!!!

13 Weeks Here I am!

I feel a lot better these days. And because I have my energy back I am able to actually get things done!

I lost two pounds and I'm now at 118. But I'm told this is okay because you don't need to gain very much before 20 weeks anyway.

My appetite is back which will probably help to pack on those healthy LBs!

I can totally notice a baby "bump" but everyone keeps telling me I'm crazy...even my husband...I think I just WANT to see one...but I definitely am thicker in my midsection than I was before!

Here is my little baby belly!
Sorry they are blurry!

Hello Baby

I had my first ultra sound yesterday.
Here is the result :
I personally think the baby looks a little scary! Let's hope he (or she) comes out looking adorable!

Where the Heart is

Little Baby's heartbeat was 172 bpm!

"Hey calm down in there!!!"

I am bad at counting...12 weeks!!

I've always been bad at math...but I didn't know I was quite THIS bad! I had miscounted and I am a week farther along that I thought! 12 weeks today! This wonderful milestones means I'm not nearly as sick and tired....which is good...b/c I was sick and tired of feeling bad!!!

STATS:

*Still no weight gain (since the 2 or 3 pounds I gained at the VERY beginning). I understand that is pretty normal during your first trimester!

*Although I'm still at 24'' at the waist, I feel like the look of my belly has changed a bit. Like it's gone from a circle to an oval! I'm (sorta kinda) starting to get excited to see a bump in a few weeks!
I have never been much of a "shopper" (for which my husband is very thankful) so I'm not usually "up" on the latest trends. But based on the latest Old Navy commercials and some pretty sorority girls I've seen trotting around campus (lol)...it seems loose and flowing blouses are "in" this year!! That's great news for a preggers girl like me!!! Hopefully I'll be able to hide under pretty things like this for a while:
Tomorrow I have my FIRST doctor's appt! (I told them I didn't want to come in until I could "see" or "hear" something) So hopefully we will be able to see our little one and hear it's little heart beat! Thump Thump Thump! I am so excited!
Love,
Baby Momma

NINE weeks

(please excuse my pj pants!)
STATS:
120lbs
24'' at natural waist
27" at belly button
Boobs: Unbearably enormous! I look funny in my clothes now and I find myself wearing sports bras! I can no longer run or workout without extreme pain. I want to breastfeed already!!!
Eating: Not much. I don't have an appetite for anything other than bland carbs....i.e crackers and cereal. Although I did pig out on potato chips and potato salad at a football tailgate yesterday.
Work Outs: Have gotten pretty wimpy. I'm used to working out pretty frequently and I find myself with little energy to do so in my down time. So I feel kinda mushy, but I keep telling myself I need the rest.
Clothes: Same clothes. I lost a little weight before I was pregnant so everything is still pretty loose. Good thing I never bought smaller sizes!
I am feeling nervous but starting to get excited for the little one to arrive. I've got boy and girl names picked out already!!! To be disclosed at a later date :)

Work

It's such a blessing to have a job in this economy! I feel really lucky to be in the industry that I'm in! But there are some mornings where I don't want to do ANYTHING! I'm so sleepy and yucky feeling. My house is slowly getting messier and messier too. I need a few personal days to clean...but I'm sure if I had personal days I would just sit on the couch and watch TV!

Knocked Up... Starting Stats

I am 8 Weeks pregnant.
Today I am 5'9'' and 120 lbs...I have gained 3 lbs.
My waist is one inch larger than it was pre-pregnancy measuring at 25''
My waist at my belly button is the same size, however, at 27''
I feel sick.
My boobs hurt.
And I am already fearing stretch marks...
I am told I'll need to gain more than the average 30lbs because my starting BNI was "underweight" ....we will see how that goes.
At first I thought it was a girl...
But I had a dream last night that I was holding a beautiful blonde baby boy....
I'm usually pretty spot on with my dreaming... :)
Wish me luck...
